Alex Cabral joined the National Housing Trust (NHT) in 2021 and currently serves as the Loan Officer for NHT’s two loan funds: The National Housing Trust Community Development Fund (NHTCDF) and the Institute for Community Economics (ICE). In this role, Alex oversees the analysis and underwriting processes of loans and builds new lending relationships. She also works with the Director of Lending to raise lending capital from mission-oriented investors.

Alex has over five years of experience working in lending in both non-profit and for-profit sectors. Prior to NHT, Alex worked at RSF Social Finance where she managed the Women’s Capital Collaborative Fund and deployed and managed loans to social enterprises. Prior to this, Alex worked at Silicon Valley Bank, providing capital to tech companies throughout the U.S. Alex received her B.S. in Economics from Santa Clara University and enjoys being a member of three volunteer boards at her alma mater and in her community.
