National Housing Trust Announces Wells Fargo as Marquee Sponsor for 40th Anniversary Gala
On October 8, NHT’s Opening Doors celebration will support expanded access to affordable housing across the country
WASHINGTON D.C.—Today, National Housing Trust announces Wells Fargo as the marquee sponsor for Opening Doors, its 40th anniversary celebration. The event will celebrate four decades of impact and bring together industry leaders to discuss what’s next in affordable housing.
“Wells Fargo is a trusted partner for NHT, supporting critical efforts to preserve existing affordable homes and equip residents with resources to shape their own communities,” said Priya Jayachandran, National Housing Trust CEO. “As the marquee sponsor of Opening Doors, Wells Fargo is furthering our mission to build a future where everyone has a safe, stable place to call home.”
For 40 years, National Housing Trust has created pathways to opportunity by advancing policy and preserving, developing and financing affordable homes that strengthen communities. On October 8, Opening Doors will celebrate that legacy by honoring industry leaders with an award in memory of National Housing Trust’s founder Marilyn Melkonian. The event will bring together affordable housing champions from financial services, government, real estate and development, law firms, and community organizations. As the marquee sponsor, Wells Fargo is celebrating a historic milestone and investing in housing solutions that will strengthen communities for years to come.
Wells Fargo supports National Housing Trust’s efforts to help residents thrive, including financial literacy workshops and food distributions at affordable housing communities. It also supports National Housing Trust’s work to preserve affordable housing supply and convene partners across the country to share best practices.
The celebration will take place 5:30 - 9 p.m. on October 8 at the Howard Theatre at 620 T St NW in Washington, D.C.
