New Year, New Properties

NHT-Enterprise is excited to announce the commencement of construction of New Park Apartments in West Hartford, Connecticut! NHT-Enterprise has partnered with Trout Brook Realty Advisors (TBRA), a subsidiary of the West Hartford Housing Authority (WHHA) on this new construction, mixed-use community.  

Located at 616 New Park Avenue, the development will replace a dilapidated commercial building which had been a neighborhood blight for many years. Located only one block away from the Elmwood Station on the newly constructed CTfastrak Bus Rapid Transit line, the development includes more than 3,000 square feet of ground floor retail. 

The four-story building will provide 54 mixed-income apartments. Of these, 11 have been set aside for supportive housing for veterans.

The building was designed by Amenta Emma Architects, with Enterprise Builders as the general contractor. The project is financed with 9% Low Income Housing Tax Credits allocated by the Connecticut Housing Finance Agency and syndicated by the National Equity Fund. TD Bank is providing permanent financing, with additional soft debt provided by the Connecticut Department of Housing and the Department of Economic and Community Development. Project financing closed in January 2017, with construction expected to be completed in Spring 2018.
