Selena Duvivier
Senior Associate, Community Outreach and Impact
Selena Duvivier joined the National Housing Trust in March 2019 as a part of AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America). In her role as a VISTA, Selena worked with the Resident Services team to develop, implement and manage onsite services provided to families living in NHT-owned communities. She supported the evaluation and expansion of the Resident Services program, developed programmatic procedures and policies for new and existing services, as well as implemented new systems for program evaluation. Her contributions as a VISTA included leading a portfolio-wide 2020 Census campaign, support for grant proposal/writing which produced over $395,000 in new grant-funding, including a multi-year award totaling $300,000, as well as improvement of program data tracking, reporting and documentation at the community-level.
Prior to NHT, Selena was a Citizen Security Research intern at the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA), where she collected and analyzed data pertaining to US assistance and its in-country impact on Central America. She also worked with a small nonprofit in State College, PA that provided direct services and community resources to the international community. Selena graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Master’s in International Affairs with a concentration on Human Rights and Latino studies, and a B.A in International Politics with minors in Spanish and Latin American studies.
