In his role as Sustainable Housing Senior Manager, Shawn Abdul provides technical assistance to multi-family affordable housing property owners participating in the DC HGA Housing program (aka DC Healthy, Green and Affordable Housing).  

Shawn previously served as Executive Director of FIRST A.M.E. (FAME) Housing Association, responsible for overseeing the redevelopment of Bryant Manor Apartments, including their energy efficiency and solar measures.  Prior to FAME, Shawn served as Housing and Community Developer for Catholic Housing Services of Western Washington. Shawn also was a Legal Assistant to Corporate Counsel at Catholic Housing.

Shawn received a Bachelors degree from Louisiana State University and a Juris Doctorate from Western Michigan University – Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
