NHT Welcomes Nicole Prorock as Chief Financial Officer

National Housing Trust (NHT) is thrilled to welcome Nicole Prorock as our new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Nicole comes to NHT with more than 25 years of experience in accounting and finance. She will be responsible for day-to-day financial services supporting NHT and its affiliates, ensuring the integrity of financial reports and strengthening financial planning for NHT. She will also play a role in setting the overall strategic direction for the organization and assure the long-term financial sustainability and growth of NHT.

Nicole brings to NHT a long and distinguished range of experience working in the non-profit sector, having served as the CFO for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC) and the Interfaith Housing Alliance as well as holding key leadership positions at organizations including Enterprise Community Partners and KPMG LLP.

Nicole holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Master’s degree in Accountancy from the University of South Carolina, a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University, and a Graduate Certificate in Community and Economic Development from Pennsylvania State University. Additionally, she is a Certified Public Accountant and actively involved in local government serving as both as the Vice Chair of the Interagency Internal Audit Authority and a volunteer Firefighter/EMT for Frederick County, Maryland.
