NHT’s Todd Nedwick Recognized in Grist Top 50!

Congratulations to NHT Housing and Energy Efficiency Director Todd Nedwick, a 2018 Grist Top 50 award winner!

Each year, Grist publishes a list of emerging leaders with fresh, forward-thinking solutions to some of the world’s biggest problems. Calling Todd an “accidental environmentalist”, Grist honored him under the “Catalysts” category, as an influential leader in highlighting the nexus between affordable housing and energy efficiency.

Todd leads NHT’s engagement with public and private stakeholders to advance the use of housing and energy resources for affordable housing. He currently serves as the program director of Energy Efficiency for All (EEFA), which has netted at least $318 million in new funding for energy efficiency programs over the last few years. Efficiency investments in multifamily affordable housing mean energy savings, lower energy bills, more stable rental payments, reduced pollution, and a better quality of life for residents.

Todd began his career in community development at the Local Initiatives Support Corporation’s Affordable Housing Preservation Initiative.

Founded in 1999, Grist is an independent news outlet and network of innovators working toward creating and preserving a better planet. Grist covers stories on climate, clean energy, sustainable food, livable cities, environmental justice and a better economy.

Congratulations, Todd!
