NHT Welcomes Two New Board Members
NHT is pleased to welcome two new members to our board of directors: Tom Dohrmann and Yusef Freeman.
Tom Dohrmann leads the North American public sector practice for McKinsey & Company and has been with the firm for nearly 20 years. Among his many government assignments was heading the McKinsey team that led HUD’s Multifamily for Tomorrow initiative (aka the Transformation) from 2010-2015. Prior to joining McKinsey, Tom worked for CARE International in Togo as well as USAID and UNDP.
Tom is active in the Washington, DC community. He currently serves on the Board of Freedom Now. Tom received a B.A. in political science from Macalester College and a Master’s in Public Affairs from Princeton University. He was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship and is a Truman Scholar.
Yusef Freeman joined PGIM Real Estate last year as Vice President, Transactions. In his role, Yusef sources real estate investments in southern California. Prior to joining PGIM, Yusef worked for over 12 years with McCormack Baron Salazar (MBS). Yusef joined MBS as a Curex fellow and was a member of the company’s executive team when he left the firm. Yusef opened the San Francisco office of MBS and led all development activity west of Texas. AHF Magazine recognized Yusef as one of the industry’s young leaders in 2017. Earlier in his career Yusef worked for Annie E Casey Foundation in Baltimore.
Yusef received a B.A. from UC Berkeley and a Master’s in Public Affairs from New York University. Yusef also completed the Curex fellowship through the University of Pennsylvania.
